Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center residents, employees, family members and guests all gathered on the front porch of the facility to view the solar eclipse on Monday. The event, which has been coined “The Great American Eclipse,” has been the most hyped event throughout the country with it being 99 years since the eclipse cast its shadow from coast to coast.
After the eclipse the staff and residents enjoyed a snack of moonpies, Sunkist and a cake decorated for this special day in history. The staff said they will throw an even bigger party the next time it happens in April of 2024.
