Staff and residents at Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center presented treat bags and fresh baked cookies to some of our local law enforcement officers to show our appreciation. Our residents lovingly prepared treat bags for the officers and then prayed over them before they were delivered.
Each treat bag included a “Survival Kit For Law Enforcement Officers” as described below:
- Lifesaver–To remind you of the many times you have been one
- Smarties–To give you wisdom for those split second decisions
- Starburst–For the burst of energy you need
- Hershey Kisses–To show our love for you
- Gum–To help everyone stick together
- Tootsie Roll–To help you roll with the punches
- Peppermint Patty–To thank you for your commit-mint to our community
- DumDum–Because you deal with a lot of them
- Pay Day–Because you’re not doing it for the money
- Laffy Taffy–To remind you that laughter is a great stress reliever
A special thank you to Laurel County Sheriff, John Root, and Kentucky State Trooper, Lloyd Cochran, for taking a few minutes to meet with us today and for sharing our treats with their fellow officers. God Bless You our officers and their continued service to our community.
